last weekend while in northern california sebastian and i loaded up the prius
and went for a drive. a long drive down pacific coast highway for about four hours.
as we poked our way down the coast we saw fields of bright yellow sour grass
set against the bright blue-green ocean, rocks dotted with friendly seals,
cows grazing on spectacular seaside cliffs, and acres and acres of artichoke farms.
we were on our way to big sur, a coastal mountain region in central california
that is known for its amazing views, redwood forests, and minimal development.
