i've passed these booths on the corner of smith st. & union 

in cobble hill a million times,  and always wondered what they were. 

i put sebastian on the case.  with some help from the metafilter community,
we've learned  that the booths (and the nearby red and white striped tent)
used to belong to the brooklyn indie market, now closed. sad.
