Brooklyn Farmacy

brooklyn farmacy on henry & sackett became an instant favorite
when it opened last fall. the owner is an ex-pineapple farmer from hawaii,
whose sister happened to live above this once-abandoned pharmacy.
in its new life, beautiful built in cabinets, drawers and cupboards display local
farm fare such as jarred pickles and fiddlehead ferns, and the soda fountain
serves up the best black and white milkshake in the world, as well as
brooklyn eggcreams, red velvet twinkies, and cherry lime rickeys.

EAT Taxi

a taxi with an EAT tag and a JMG license plate?
driving around my neighborhood?

..........

Steak & Chops, Philadelphia

i wish this place had been as perfectly awesome as its exterior (above)
and its website suggest it will be.
(see dogs-at-a-bar mural under the "gallery" section of the site)
unfortunately, inside the lighting was too-bright, and the bar was snuggled in a corner,
when it should have been the main event, front and center.
i'd rather go to the plaza.

The Lawn at Bryant Park
