Vermont in August

 

in august we went up to calais, vermont to see sebastian's family

and celebrate his sister's year-ago marriage.

we rented a little hansel and gretel cottage for almost no money, 

and rowed our little sears row boat across the lake to see the gang.

there were lots of babies, beers, flowers and cooking, 

and the whole time the sky was a vermont perfect blue.

Nico's Bath Time

   

sebastian and i finally had a weekend in brooklyn a few weeks ago, 

and that meant we were able to babysit his nephew nico.

we took him for a walk in brooklyn bridge park, 

and when it started to rain we rushed home to warm up in the bath.

i had so much fun snapping photo after photo of this little one.

could he be any cuter?

Portland, Maine

  

in late july the lovely kathleen invited me, grace, and mccall

family's charming beach home in beautiful saco, maine (just outside of portland).

we picnicked at the portland head light, ate pie at the yarmouth clam festival,

feasted on seafood a-plenty, and didn't resist a bit when portland stole our hearts. 

with its majestic old brick buildings, pristine water front, tasty local beers, 

seriously delicious restaurants, and the greatest weather 

i've experienced on the atlantic, whats not to love?

thank you kathleen for such a wonderful trip.

Hamptons Tea Dance

 

the empire state pride agenda's hamptons tea dance has to be the one of 

the most fun parties of the summer. the setting is a sculpture garden/polo field,

and the attendees are incredibly handsome and stylish gay men (plus me and mccall).

at last years tea, we wore red and met steven and daniel for the first time.

this year, we wore blue and attended with them as our old pals.

Montauk / Ruschmeyer's

 

a too-cute stay at ruschmeyer's in montauk:

hammocks, a teepee, paper lanterns, kilim rugs, rope swings,

and a nice long day on the ditch plains beach.
